Graduating team with Friends of Wisdom Founders in Malawi

23 Friends of Wisdom (FOW) members took their conviction of allegiance to the spirituality of the Divine Wisdom under the tutelage of Daughters of wisdom on 10th Dec 2022 in Malawi. The 22 members faithfully finished their spiritual journey and made their commitments in a colorful Mass celebration at Wisdom House in Blantyre, Malawi.

The Daughters of Wisdom in Malawi initiated the Friends of Wisdom (FOW) group in 2018, The group was started by Sr. Diana Chabwera with the company of Sr. Agnes Mzinga, Sr. Margret Jasssi, Sr. Regina Kazembe and Late Sr. Namkhuluma. At the beginning, the group started with almost 35 registered members.

Since its inception, the group has been going through trainings on spirituality of the Daughters of Wisdom. The training was scheduled for two years but due to Covid-19 pandemic, classes were dismissed. However, the FOW engulfed by their zeal and enthusiasm in pursuing their devotion, focused much on the practicality aspect of Wisdom by engaging themselves in charity work. This helped them to be united and maintain their devotions despite the situations brought by covid-19.

On his speech, the Chairman of the group, Bob Likome, applauded the Daughters of Wisdom for their insight on sharing their spirituality with the laity. He also thanked them for their unceasing support and dedication in imparting knowledge to the group. He further assured them of the commitment of the group in supporting the Daughters of Wisdom in all endeavuors demanding their support.

In her part, Sr. Mary Chimalizeni, representing Daughters of Wisdom, thanked the Friends of Wisdom for their commitments and zeal in pursuance of the Divine Wisdom. She further challenged them to strengthen the group by inviting other new members and continuing in sharing the teachings of St. Montfort and Sr.Marie Luise.

Fr. Paul Mashonga SMM the spiritual director of Montfortians in Malawi, in his speech, encouraged the FOW to keep on sawing the seed of the spirituality of Daughters of Wisdom by walking their talk always.
